ClikDeo Story: Built Out of Need
A web developer's journey from struggle to building free tools for creators on a budget.
Who I Am
I am a web developer with 5 years of experience. I was working with a software company, but the salary was not enough to meet all my expenses and needs. So I decided to create my own product. And I did. My product started working good, but when the company found out about my product, they terminated my employment. After losing my job, I started facing some financial issues, because of these issues I had to stop working on my product, because I needed a huge budget to maintain my server infrastructure and maintenance costs, to meet server and domain fees, but I didn't have a budget for this. So, I decided to stop my product.
The Problem I Faced
After losing my job and stopping work at my first project, I tried to work on social media platforms. My goal was to gain some reasonable followers and earn from brands as a social media influencer. But most social media apps like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube's shorts section accepts 9:16 ratio videos or shorts. Online tools available for these specific tasks like creating shorts, merging video, extracting audio or frames from videos were paid. Again, I was not able to pay for their subscriptions.
⭐ So I decided to convert my need into a product. ⭐
Because I felt there are a lot of people in this world who cannot pay subscriptions yet they have some goals. They want to gain a social media identity. So I started working on this product, and days and nights of struggle, I finally created a product that is truly helping me.
